About
The company started in late 2010 and the first games, ‘Wildcat’ and ‘Dinohistoria’ were launched in 2011. These two entertaining card games contain 56 cards each and are available in single packs (launched in October 2011) as well as existing double (Please NOTE – single pack cards 8.8cm x 6.3cm & double pack cards 8.7cm x 5.6cm).
These games are fun, interesting and entertaining for all the family and friends. The aim is to provide products that have educational content and are suitable for both the retail and educational markets. Anglia Ruskin University evaluated Wildcat with children, making the overall comment ‘The games have the potential to underpin the school curriculum and work in primary schools’.
To concentrate on games in the first instance and bring out to a high quality specification. The goal is to bring out more games, to include board games and to help with languages, which will also assist learning.
Besides the educational value of the games, learning whilst playing, having fun and being entertained, they also have the following benefits: –
- Complement relevant areas of the National Curriculum and can be used in the classroom and home alike.
- No one is knocked out of the games ensuring that the experience is completely inclusive.
- Some of the games will have 3 levels of play, so can progress to the harder level in stages.
- By playing games, compared to PC games, they benefit from the social interaction between players, how they react, facial expressions, comments and to winning and losing. PC games are mainly solitary and do not help to assist with social issues or benefits.
- There is a lack of inter-generational games from which these benefit, in that as adults enjoy playing the games so they will play them with children, which will enhance their enjoyment and learning.
- There is little cross-over between the school and home in terms of games but these resources will be of interest to everyone whether playing at school or at home, by all the family and with friends.
